Scottish Queer International Film Festival (SQIFF)
18-11-2020

The Scottish Queer International Film Festival (SQIFF) is a not-for-profit festival founded in 2015. As well as their annual film festival, they undertake year-round work including events, archive programming and advice and support for the exhibition sector. They have produced the SQIFF Deaf and Disabled Accessibility Guide, intended for use by film exhibitors of any size which want to embed Deaf and Disabled access into their programming and across their work, including online screenings and events.

The guide begins at the conception stage of programming events with programme research and festival submissions. The processes of programming, managing, and advertising events, working with and within venues and event spaces, and marketing are then covered.
